Great record but every time I see it lauded I remember how criminally overlooked the (even better in my view) ‘Unworthy’ by the McAlmont-fronted Thieves from a year or so earlier was/is. Truly one of the greatest pop records ever released

Agreed. For pure ‘drone’ I would say Tired Sounds is unbeatable, although I prefer the more melodious And Their Refinement. See also Kyle Bobby Dunn’s oeuvre
