At some point, I kinda figured out that the drone thing was probably just "communal fever" -- we've seen it before with shark attacks -- but it's interesting that this paragraph from the NY Times fails to mention the media's role in pumping the story.

I'll be so glad when the whole "famous for X means you're competent to do Y" thing is erased from the American zeitgeist. I mean, it's Trump's whole schtick and I see why HE'S for it, but come on!
