It takes some creative problem solving, but even details builds can be done on a budget. As you can see about half of the material was from my stash and half was purchased for this build.

I checked out a baby con and debuted my Wizardmon cosplay. I competed and was bumped from novice to win best master 😭❤️ i am excited to continue upgrading him and bring him to a larger con to compete at the journeyman level!

Dumb problems require dumb solutions.
The main cape is too heavy for the capelet to support on its own. The solution? A clasp sewn in vertically. One half of the clasp is sewn to the cape and the other is sewn to the outside of the vest. This distributes the weight from my neck to my shoulders.

Today I thrifted 15 continuous yards of pastel fabric for $6 total. That is about 40 cents a yard. I need cosplay/character ideas I can use it for! #cosplay

Due to character limits the actual tutorial is on my insta. I submitted a simple tutorial to this contest for using a Swiffer to make a collapsible prop :) especially great for those who have limited tools/work space!

Social media as a cosplayer/artsy fartsy type is such a double edged sword. I love the community building aspect and cherish the online friends. I hate inevitability questioning my own self worth as a cosplayer when the majority of my post on most social media tank (occasionally they do well on ⏰)
