53 degrees (F) after a snow melt means compost turning and ivy pulling. The hens are loving it. I don’t mind their help scratching up the raised bed this time of year.

Sorry but I canceled class. A delay til 10 when my classes start at 10 just isn’t hitting when I and all my students were hoping for a snow day… so a snow day we shall have.

I’ve always enjoyed teaching Mills’ (1959) The Sociological Imagination at the beginning of the semester. It’s the oldest text we read & I find that Mills’ main points still resonate… “people often feel that their private lives are a series of traps… they sense… they cannot overcome their troubles”
