That’s odd. You’d think “We’re all fucked” would be more motivating.

It must’ve been a wildly progressive children’s book in its day— written and illustrated by two women, about personal space, and consent, respecting people’s wishes, and children’s right to be treated and spoken to with respect, even by adults.

Thanks so much! I’m not sure how that would work, selling prints that include someone else’s copyrighted poetry. It would likely involve getting publishers and agents involved, which i imagine wouldn’t be very cost effective. But I do dearly appreciate the sentiment!

Those under 26 you can get a Seattle library card through the Books Unbanned program. Intended to provide access to ebooks other libraries will not license because of right-wing campaigns. It was founded by the Brooklyn library system they will provide if under 21.

Also, there is LITERALLY NO NEED to steal from us when public libraries exist. This whole argument is utter bullshit.

I’ve been lucky by publishing standards: Over the last 8yrs made $11,000 from my 2 books. That’s $1,375 a year.

I work in a kitchen & I support 2 kids.

Most authors are working class people, same as you. Stealing from us don’t making you a working class hero. It makes you a scab.

Happy birthday! Your art is amazing, but that first one is absolutely spectacular— so dynamic and brilliantly composed. The tats are done really well too. Love.

Because it lets the artist know where their strengths are. We’re a damned insecure bunch! 😂

👏 Everybody loves a compliment (as long as it’s not empty flattery). Presumably, people are seeking your feedback so they can grow and learn and become better. In which case, they should be prepared to hear what isn’t working. But yes, hearing what IS working is important too.

Faithful draft horses doing the bidding of their masters, unaware that those same masters will send them to the glue factory the second they’ve outlived their usefulness.
