growing up i didnt know we were poor because we didnt get free school lunches. as an adult i realized we probably qualified but my conservative evangelical parents didnt believe in taking "welfare" so we ate sandwiches with 1 slice of american cheese and sometimes a transparent slice of meat.
this reminds me of a friend who thought he was middle class so he donated his car to a charity that helps poor people and a month later, he saw his car at his neighbor's house

We white folks need to come right out and say, not just defund ICE, but ABOLISH ICE.

i still have the voice in my head that says im a disgusting freak and everyone secretly hates me. but with zoloft i can tell myself thats not true and mostly believe it
And yeah, like most mental health stuff, we don’t know how to “cure” it but we sure have some decent treatments.
I love my meds. They make me feel like myself. Even my husband still chides me for getting nervous when I might have a gap in meds. It’s because I want to be ME everyday!
