Over half a million dollars raised, and a lovely morning spent with friends, colleagues, and families who give meaning to everything we do. A very bright day in these not so bright times 🏃‍♀️ ☀️

If you’re feeling depressed, go out and volunteer to educate the public/support the next generation of scientists. Between the rally yesterday and a HS science fair today, I’m feeling much better about our future, just knowing there will always be good people working and advocating for science 🧬✊

A beautiful day to #standupforscience. So proud of Seattle’s turnout today. Most of whom identified merely as “concerned citizens” with no scientific affiliation themselves. And that’s because #scienceisforeverybody.

To break up everyone’s endless doomscrolling, my amazing former labmate from the @fchrisbennett.bsky.social lab is defending her thesis next Friday at 2pm ET! Sonia’s PhD has been a masterclass in hard work, patience, and perseverance, and I’m so excited for everyone to hear all about it 🥳
