@teesbirds.bsky.social Delighted to see 41 LT fledglings on the beach at Seaton this afternoon. Most were very proficient at flight too. My joy at this was tempered when I returned to the promenade & with a minute the Kestrel swooped in, took an adult LT & sat in the breeding area eating it 😟

@teesbirds.bsky.social A couple of record shots (i.e. terrible photos!) of two Little Tern fledglings down on the shoreline at Seaton this morning. One still being fed by a parent!! Just good to see a couple of LTs that look like they might make it, after the awful breeding season to date!

@teesbirds.bsky.social Lovely to see the Little Tern chicks starting to appear at Seaton Carew! Great to have the support for the project & interest in the birds from both locals & visitors!

I'd appreciate it if this could be re posted by as many people as possible to highlight this greedy firm. Apparently if your Husband is rushed to hospital and you get there urgently (following the ambulance) you still have to read the conditions on the sign & appeal failed. @england.nhs.uk use them

@teesbirds.bsky.social Apologies - I've been informed by a number of people that the bird is a Knot rather than a Ruff!
May 9, 2025 at 7:37 PM
@teesbirds.bsky.social A few more of the Ruff on Seaton beach this afternoon!
May 9, 2025 at 7:34 PM
@teesbirds.bsky.social The flock of up to 81 Little Terns on the beach at Seaton this afternoon had a Ruff join them - feeding with them, flying off & returning with them! Great to watch!
