I firmly believe that it is only through the lens of Mental Illness that we can find our empathy again. I am so mentally tired from all the hate and mud slinging while people die at the alter of more clicks!

I notice he is mentally ill, and that MAGA is providing a "space" for this mental illness to thrive and get attention. And no, I am in no way defending the shooter. I am pointing out a basic fact devoid of the tiresome who's team is he on bullshit ideology game.

18/ No two fascist states are identical. You can still have the illusion of living in a democracy, but in reality, you live in a Fascist dictatorship that matches your ethnicity and makes you feel comfortable and safe. You don’t have to remove the First Amendment to remove free speech.

17/ Like I said, this is NOT about left or right, it's about America staying a democracy or whether it turns into another Spain or worse. By the way, when Fascist Franco was in power, Spain held elections every three years. Just not elections on Franco himself. Remember that!

16/ Go and read Mussolini's paper on Fascism. Go and read Hitler's speeches, Franco's speeches. Go and read up on Franco's Spanish economic policies up until his death in 75. He was a Fascist leader of Spain for 36 years.

14/ Fuck no, they paid them in French Francs because they STOLE that money, so it cost them nothing! This is the thing that people fail to understand, but is laid out clearly by Mussolini in his 1932 paper, where he defines Fascism.

12/ A place called the Sudetenland. Were you aware that prior to Hitler annexing that land that NAZI bankers had already gone ahead to secure any and every bank? Everyone knows the story of how the Nazi's stole all the art from the Louvre, famous statues from Churches and other locations.

7/ Hell, it was led by Charles Lindberg, and Hitler gave the highest medal of honour to a foreigner it could, to Ford! This is not surprising given that Hitler looked at Jim Crow laws and took the idea and applied them to Jews.

6/ Listen to the Trump/MAGA rhetoric around Trans and even same sex marriage. It’s the same rhetoric. We have been here before, roughly 1936. The American Reich movement was a big thing. It was totally in with Hitler.

5/ They also ALL went after the LGBT first because they were easy targets, already marginalized. In fact, the first book burnings in Germany were from an LGBT Health Clinic in Berlin that was a center for research revered around the world at the time.

4/ They all went after the Law Firms, veteran civil servants, free speech/comedians and they all elevated a subset of the population as being the true holders of the "state" and that everyone else was an enemy.
