A Nothosaurus (semi-aquatic sauropterygian reptile in the Triassic period) on the beach, basking off a cloudy sunrise. In the background there is foliage. (Never mind some potentially anachronistic flora...) A group of various Nari individuals with varying colours that match the wheel of their respective hues (divided up to eight), though some of them do not necessarily match the same colour. In the centre is the text "Color Wheel Challenge: Naric Edition", with the time of the project starting on 25th February 2025 and ending on 3rd March 2025. There are two major distinct types of Nari depicted, the original "ghouls" (those without a set of underbelly scales and with ears) and the modified "draconians" (those with dragon/dinosaur-like features). A full portrait of Caphalia Solis (some character I made in May 2024 to pad out history), a were-Liopleurodon (or is it just a generic anthro Liopleurodon?) in the usual form taken for a werebeast in this "world" and her animal form behind her. She holds up a quill and holds up a encased scroll and a dagger. A slender, amphibious, biolumniscent predator that is seeking out some swimming "fish" (also biolumniscent) in shallow waters where they generally reside. It usually stays out the water for a few minutes (holding onto its gills) before it surrounds and strangles smaller prey.

When I finish up the 500th character for the Dracoghouls series so far in my own time, I think I’ll redraw the base sketches for the 500th sketch onward. They are getting far too dated and these are becoming more than a year old at that point.

Today is my birthday.

I've seen some of these posts that ask people to share some of their work around their birthdays and I thought of just doing the same since I don't have much to do on this platform atm.

So if you can, idk, have some engagement in the meantime and repost this somewhere.
A scene in which a highly reflective, glowing capsule-shaped spacecraft is spotted from a larger space station in space. There are no stars visible due to the way the “camera” would be exposed. The main subject in question - a non-humanoid alien dragon wearing a spacesuit, holds on to a support bar with some tethering back to the main station. A set of alien ruins located on a frozen world (the "most distant" planet located in the Sol system), with building structures being laid with frozen ice, some of it has also collapsed due to accumulated permafrost and ice over the years. There's liquid on the surface of this world, but it is not water but something similar to liquid methane (sort of like the one in Titan). Despite it being in daylight, the sun is distant (yet visible) enough that it does not receive the light that the atmosphere receives that it is perceived as part of an eternal night, surrounded by clouds. Almost blocking it is the planet's largest moon. An upright sophont gorgonopsian (or gorgonopsid; a synapsid/mammal-like reptile with saber teeth) with a headphone and microphone speaks in a lecture demonstrating ecological collapse in Permian Earth (shown with the continent of Pangea) from their own causes, which is projected at the back of the large lecture room of a theatre. An image in which a blue orb resembling a pulsar star rips through the image and segmenting it into a cross-section of four separate scenes. The scene depicts three different aliens going through the same experience - of the Founders’ remnants (an ancient race of extinct aliens older than them)

Some facial expressions of a single ghoul that I did yesterday. The nari are not an expressive species from a human standpoint (hence their often cold expressions), instead they rely on some subtler cues such as pheromones for their own kind.

A chart of nine facial expressions by one individual character, who is a Naric ghoul (Dracoghoul) named Oxtagat. It can be surmised that the nari are typically expressionless, but in heightened emotional states, their expressions are more apparent. From top left to bottom right in descriptions of emotions: - Neutral (Default): A silent, emotionless state most nari have. (For ghouls, this is pretty much a norm) - Territorial / Angry: Snarls/hisses frequently - hunting stance. - Happy: Ears stand up and may elicit some yips. - Tired / Bored: Eyes droop, ghoul is less energetic/jittery. - Sad / Embarrassed: Lowered ears and whimpers are common. - Flirty: Lustful but makes a ghoul hazy in the mind. - Curious / Thinking: Raised ears and eyes, head twitches. - Scared: Repressed thoughts - but eyes say otherwise. - Bloodthirsty: The ghoul becomes starved and feral for blood.
