We SHOULD worry abt looks. We're biased by ppl's looks at least subconsciously. We have old ideas, e.g., of how a mob boss looks. When today's mobsters do mobster sht but don't look like movie mobsters, they get a pass from too many folks who don't mentally make the connection. Looks are dangerous.

A friend told me she wouldn't vote AOC because she's a centrist and you're to far left. I asked her to name an AOC policy that's too far left. She couldn't because she didn't know any AOC position.
This is what I worry about. People having opinions not based on facts, just media talking points.

For many years, when I got a form question asking me to identify my ethnic origin, I'd check "other" and write in Australopithecine.

To me, originalism is fake - cover for a desired outcome. Hard for me to believe French Enlightenment-influenced Framers thought future generations should understand the constitution exactly as they did. The Framers were a lot of things but they weren't fundamentalists. But IDK, you're the law prof!
