Keeper of the Peak is a feed for riders in the Peak District. Riders send in details of where they’ve been and what kind of condition the path was in, then we share it with everyone else.
Everyone then gets a live(ish) update on the Peak District paths.
Last few days riding: dry! Friendly walkers and some great fun on an ebike

Cutgate. First time for me, doing Langsett & back from Ladybower. Tough going & hard climbs, but great descents that make up for the effort.

Some sloppy, boggy bits but not too bad @keeperofthepeak.bsky.social

Bridleways around Hayfield slightly muddy in patches, but running pretty fast @keeperofthepeak.bsky.social . Plenty of walkers, happy dogs and folk trekking along Kinder (white trainers optional) #mtb #santacruzsunday

Great ride around the Eastern Moor yesterday.
Devil's Elbow, Houndkirk and Blue Steel all running amazingly well (not a puddle to be found!).
Burbage rocks and The Ox were still sloppy and I felt a little guilty to be honest. Will avoid until it dries a bit more.

Someone's unruly thorny bush has just been trimmed. Primrose lane; plenty of tyre-worrying spikes on the track. Bit greasy also on the descent past Mellor Cross. Be sure to keep your finger right on the end of your bell for the hordes of walkers and horses @keeperofthepeak.bsky.social #mtb #madam

The track from the bottom of the Beast down to the reservoir is a complete quagmire @keeperofthepeak.bsky.social
Got worse half way down. Obviously work vehicles using it, but very sloppy mud

New ride for me today. I tried the Manifold Valley loop from the White Peak MTB book. Generally filthy, slippy, misty, and windy, but nice to venture out somewhere different. #mtb @keeperofthepeak.bsky.social

Filthy around Bakewell Haddon & Chatsworth this morning @keeperofthepeak.bsky.social
Park Lane (& field before it) zero grip. Had to push & clean mud off.
Manners wood filthy but rideable.
Grey, foggy & cold, but good to be out of course!

Coombs Dale still a bit damp, tracks over to Pilsley ok, small silver Citroen stuck on the rutted track that goes into Edensor with a few 4x4s stuck behind it! Very muddy around Manners Wood and towards the Monsal Trail. Bit of a queue heading back to Calver 🐄🐮 #mtb @keeperofthepeak.bsky.social

Fairly dry tonight. Mill Lane filling itself in, fly tipping across the track through Gt Hucklow Woods, nearly OTB, BOAT going via Jumbler? to Eyam is being resurfaced pretty loose and piles of material near the bottom, RileyTek and the track down to Stoke all good #mtb @keeperofthepeak.bsky.social

The bog on Curbar Edge is as bad as I’ve ever seen it. Otherwise a fantastic sunny ride this morning. Longstone, Baslow, Curbar & Froggatt Edges + RileyTek, albeit with a testy headwind at times! #mtb

Shamefully first ride of the year. Coombs Dale like a river, new BW to Moor Road muddy in places but frozen and firm, Black Harry all good. The quarry descent rut is now massive at the top. Mill Lane is very washed out but climbable, RileyTek and Jacobs Ladder all good @keeperofthepeak.bsky.social

Narnia by way of Buxton/Erwood. Hard to bike properly, but did a lot better than most cars I saw, which were apparently rehearsing for Fury Road (Winter Scene). Buzzards landing in nearby trees because it's so quiet. Take a brew if you head out, eh? #mtb #iceland @keeperofthepeak.bsky.social

A very chilly Foulstone Road this morning. Strongly suspect it'll be different to this come Sunday with a foot of snow predicted

It's nice and dramatic over Hayfield, but there's a ton of runoff around the Grouse Shack and Middle Moor @keeperofthepeak.bsky.social . Extra deep streams to clean your wheels folks.
