I listen via AntennaPod, and it's one of the best podcasts there is. I think it's going to prove an invaluable bit of oral social history in future. But it's completely up to you whether you feel it's worth the money.

I blame the Pilkington committee. Without that bunch of snobbish middle class nano wits we could have had Channel Four, the natural home for this, in 1964.

So sad. I helped with what I think was the last "Closedown" he did. I was working on a DVD called "Beyond Tomorrow" about "The Tomorrow People" and Philip did a little closedown of the video; first from his armchair and then over a clock I animated. His announcement was warm, lovely and magnificent.

I actually managed to complete it; ironically I found the first level to be one of the hardest ones even when I could complete the final ones. My badge was stolen by the computer shop (not in the box, I never even realised I was supposed to have one till later), which I never forgave them for.

This was created based on a written description by Richard Logue. Apparently they weren't silent either; there were two different "The Antrim Road" jingles recorded for the two different idents as well.
