With all that has happened in politics the last decade, esp how the right has demonized “brown foreigners,” do we really think a majority of Americans will care that we are willy-nilly blowing people out of the water. I think we are kidding ourselves about the level of humanity left in America.

I am a single issue voter and that issue is I want the Republican Party in federal prison.
That rage you feel, as you watch the White House get leveled? That's how we beat Trump. Harness that, refine it, find ways to get other people equally enraged. Get them so mad they can't see straight. None of this kumbaya BS. White-hot, unreasoning anger, that demands the people who did this PAY.

This is why candidates like Graham Planter (Sen-Maine), James Talarico (Sen-TX), and Zohran Mamdani (Mayor-NY) are important. They come from different points on the spectrum, but they’re united in a message that cuts to the heart of resistance to MAGA: confronting & correcting economic inequality.

The more I think about it, the more the public mourning from white evangelical Christians over Charlie Kirk (a truly despicable human being)—while staying silent about yrs of political violence in America—feels like the last straw. I’m not sure I can engage with these people and not feel disgust.

All the perfunctory “political violence is bad & I don’t believe in conspiracy theories” aside—this feels like the penultimate episode where fascists sacrifice one of their own to deflect from a sex trafficking / pedophile scandal and a collapsing economy, and to justify a deeper police state.

Are there any ride share drivers who can weigh in on when they decide to talk to a customer? I can assure you that other than the customary hello at the beginning, you should absolutely NOT talk to your passenger unless they talk to you first. It’s never okay to initiate conversation. 🤫

100%. The left needs to grasp that defeating fascism may mean aligning with moderates we clash with—even as they withhold support from us. Critique isn’t enough. We have to block the consolidation of power, or we’ll lose the chance to critique anything at all.
Listen, you can’t break the Trump cult, but they are the minority.
We need a sustained presence of Democrats in rural spaces to talk to their neighbors and run for office. Seats go uncontested for decades.
Hate gerrymandering? Get Democrats on every ballot and every race. We have to run to win.
