I realized today that the abdication by the MSM of its role in this society means that each step of the coming systematic dismantling of life as we know it in the US will be breathlessly reported as if each action is perfectly normal, and in fact reasonable.

Fucking bastards.

Throughout history there have been some absolute monsters who have created great art. It is a fluke of modern communication that we discover examples of this truth more or less in real time now, rather than in a biography written long after the fact. We may not always have that privilege.

For me, it’s always odd, that trying to figure out how you’re going to use an new platform for expression. I’d like to hope that I’ll find my voice here, as it works for this space. Having been a LiveJournal denizen, leaving a social media platform because Russian bullshit ruined it is such deja vu.

Living with a former chef has its upsides. Thanksgiving is always lovely, for one. @arkhamrefugee.bsky.social outdid himself. This all feels like a surreal horrifically baited breath pause before everything crumbles though.
