I went to bed early but have now enjoyed my husband's crash out over Butker with glee over morning coffee.
Again, let the record reflect #7 has killed the Chiefs in EVERY loss this season.

To me, his presence on the roster tells me the team doesn't plan on winning this year. He's simply not good enough.

(He also is a truly deplorable human being.)
Wow. How do you not get him in the backfield? Horrendous end of game, all started by Butker's brutal kickoff.

He has directly hosed this team in every loss so far.

My cat just opened the door to the liquor cabinet and crawled in. And that's the vibe for today.

Late last night I mapped crime rates for cities in OH, SC and WV to show how often they exceeded the rate in DC — where those states’ governors are sending National Guard troops to “combat crime.” www.pbump.net/o/more-peopl...
More people in Ohio need protection from violent crime than there are people in D.C.
Governors of three states — Ohio, South Carolina and West Virginia — are sending members of their state National Guards to D.C. to … well, theoretically to combat crime but, if the past week is any in...

So, I'm no data expert (I am), but what sticks out to me here is the rate of sex abuse in 2016-2019 and then after. Hmm.

Every Supreme Court ruling is “look, we’re not saying what Trump is doing is legal, we’re just saying we, the highest court in the land, will not stop him, and will prevent others from doing so.” They *know* it’s not legal, so they find other ways to allow it.

Disappointed but not surprised to not see any of the Nebraska system schools signing on yet.
Very useful interactive spreadsheet of the college/univ prez who have signed this declaration of academic independence.

Up to 480 signers now, up from 180 three days ago.

Thanks to @ejgoldstick.bsky.social for putting it together.

Removing a black 4-star general at Secretary of Defense and replacing him with a white talk-show is the perfect example why DEI is essential. It's not about hiring unqualified minorities, it’s about foiling the majority's habit of hooking up under qualified mediocrities of their own caste.

What in the actual personal data?! So are we just going to write a straight API from EMRs directly into this man's inbox?! Sounds ethical and totally sane. Jfc.

Chiefs Kingdom, riders up. We gotta go get our brother ourselves.
The only appropriate response to this is impeachment and removal from office. Every moment the political press spends spinning out theories about 2026 and immigration polling is a minute they are not spending asking Republicans in Congress about their plans to enforce the rule of law
