The entire right-wing propaganda machine came after Zohran Mamdani.

The president and his allies came after him.

Democratic leaders, by and large, did not have his back until the last minute.

He still won, turning out historic numbers and inspiring young voters.

His politics can win anywhere.

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

So the American taxpayer eats it twice, once on tariffs and again on a second farm bailout. I’m glad farmers are getting help, no one should lose their farm, but it’s remarkable how fast “socialism” stops being a dirty word when the checks clear in red counties.

Great synopsis for someone like me who has only followed Weiss via headline.

One question I haven’t seen tackled - what happens as all mainstream legacy media (newspapers, tv) turn into Fox News?
I wrote about the ascendance of Bari Weiss from a hack columnist to media royalty, and what it means for the future of CBS News.

Honestly if dems campaigned on this and made a big deal that they were in charge now that the government was shut down, it would work
Hang on... if the U.S. government is shut down, does that mean Donnie's no longer their President?
