On this date 10 years ago, Steve Silberman's incredible book, NeuroTribes, was published. Every year on August 25th, I donate a new copy to a local street library, along with a note expressing how much Steve's work meant to me and the importance of learning from and amplifying Autistic voices.

I love it when people send links and memes. It's apparently called pebbling. A kind of non-verbal communication particularly common in the neurodivergent community. Named after penguins who drop pebbles to ones they love for nest-building. It's basically a sign that even when we are online and distracted we are thinking of each other.

I love this year's "Love Proudly" baubles (to benefit Wear It Purple, a movement started by LGBTIQA+ young people in Australia). These gorgeous ornaments were designed by Aboriginal artist Bobbi Lockyer.
