I can’t stand Abbott. But the runoff is scheduled for Saturday December 13 so this is a clueless post. The bigger issue is the redrawn districts for election next year. This is a runoff for the old district.

On the other hand, we’re at the point where you no longer need use the word “climate.” Public transit, utility bills, energy efficient housing—these are all climate issues Mamdani has been laser focused on. In every case the solutions to the affordability crisis involve decarbonization technologies.
The blueprint for winning big on climate also came out last night. No more technocratic, policy wonk approaches. People showed they care about utility bills, free buses, affordable housing, etc. These are all climate issues. Talk about climate in terms people understand and experience.
