<div class="field field-field-text"><p>The number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces since dawn on Wednesday in the Gaza Strip has risen to 73, Wafa news agency reported, citing medical sources. </p>
<p>A total of 65,419 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, mostly children and women, by Israeli forces since October 2023, and at least 167,160 others have been wounded.</p>
<p>Thousands of others remain unaccounted for under the rubble, making the actual death toll likely to be much higher. </p>

<div class="field field-field-text"><p>Israeli settlers have assaulted Mahmoud Barham, the mayor of Beita in the occupied West Bank, and a municipal official, according to local media.</p>
<p>Wafa news agency reported that the two were inspecting projects on Mount Qamas, located east of the town near Nablus, when they were attacked by settlers.</p>
<p>The settlers reportedly destroyed and smashed the officials' municipality-owned vehicle, after physically assaulting the two men and causing them to sustain bruises.</p>
<p>Both were subsequently transferred to a nearby hospital.</p>
<p>The attack comes two weeks after Israeli forces carried out a demolition operation targeting a vegetable market in Beita.</p>
