I come from a small coastal town which is now half empty in winter. Businesses are struggling in off season, and local workers have to live in the next twin because there are no houses in the town to rent long term. My mother, in her 60s, almost homeless in the town she was born in.

I didn’t have a child because I can’t justify bringing a child in to such a cruel and awful world. Having children these days is just selfish.
