I was kinda offered a job there earlier this year which would've solved the money issue, but ultimately I decided I'd rather not be isolated from my current friends and community. Moving to another country is fucking hard.

Absolutely, but it's the other way around. We trans people are considered inherently biased when dealing with our own issues, which must be considered from a "neutral" perspective. I've even seen people call out trans-friendly politicians because they had trans family, so their opinion didn't count.

There's a specific "I will dump my trauma as a way to demand that you tolerate the ways I've already been abusive to you, a stranger" that I've just seen a million times at this point. It is a pattern.
