Note:

1) This is not comprehensive as there is not space to explain exceptions and uncommon sacrifices.

2) I couldn't find any evidence fish was ever sacrificed, though it was used as an offering, hence its placement.

3) I hope this gives you inspiration for modern offerings as well.

The search engines are getting really really bad. I've always been a "Google it" person but these days I'd rather ask another person whose knowledge can be trusted.

Finally, we come to the last day of the lunar month called the Hene kai Nea, "the old & new". The An. Greeks would wrap up the month by closing debts & cleaning house. Some would celebrate the Deipnon, a meal offering for Hekate and her (& your) dead.

A sacrifice to the Tritopatores, the ancestral (sometimes wind) spirits. They are specifically your unnamed & forgotten ancestors at least 3 generations back. Ancestral rites were very important in An. Greece, so pour one out for your kin!

After the festivals there are two sacrifice days to begin to close out the lunar month. On this day there is a sacrifice to Leukaspis the hero. All I know about him is that he was a Sicilian prince killed by Herakles so let me know if you know more!

The Olympieia is the last festival for the month, in honor of Zeus. It is difficult to celebrate this one with a group, but is perfect for solo worship! The day celebrates horses and athletics so go move your body! Get out under the sky!

The Mounichia, the main festival for the month, celebrates Artemis Potnia Theron, Queen of Beasts, in supplication for killing her sacred bear. I suggest offering any kind of cake with candles as a traditional-esque offering for her, if you so choose.

The Delphinia is a minor rite performed by the maidens of Artemis' temple and thus not a full festival. They'd carry olive branches with wool tied around them to ask for Artemis' blessings & protection. Consider which areas of life you need the goddess.

On the Adonia we mourn Adonis, a youth with much potential cruelly taken too soon, but also all youths taken too soon: siblings, children, lovers, soldiers, etc. Who have you lost in your life? Beat your breast for them and honor them this day.

The Noumenia, literally "new moon", referring to the first of the month. Considered the holiest of days by Plutarch. Refresh your altar and honor your household gods.

Discord has some fun free little party games too in the vc channels.

If you're blessed to have an in-person community, or just a close group of supportive friends, consider comboing movie night with a potluck, BYO(age appropriate Beverage), and make it a game night too! Or whatever, just have fun🍇
