Perhaps the repentence has to start somewhere not just continue to be ignored for decades. I agree it was stupid but I think if we continue to reject everyone who makes mistakes they regret, we will fail.

Some of this sh*t really affects me more than others. And this is one. The crap he said at Arlington and in France is one. There are so many but this one is mine. And it pisses me off. I am sure you all have the most painful ones too. And that is what unites us. How can he hurt everyone at once?

Random thought that is important to me. My brother did not want to go to Vietnam. My father was a twenty year career Naval wnlisted man who retired when Iwas born at CPO. And told my brother he would take him to Canada. My brother decided not to. He went to his induction physical and passed.

Just WOW. The most sincere thought-provoking article of any I have read in months. Imagine where we would be if it was routinely taught where America fails so we actually came away with Lessons Learned. I am finding that Black journos and pols are more comfortable with fighting back after a loss.

Huh you mean maybe thats why we never heard about cancer, parkinsons, alzheimers, etc in the 19th and 20th century
