It's a miracle that we entrust our kids to these institutions and they come back transformed. Terrible things are happening to students right now... And it's a miracle that they keep showing up and they are here and they are graduating. - @cathyndavidson.bsky.social

@cathyndavidson.bsky.social says the commonality between students in higher ed institutions is that college is voluntary and that's amazing because humans typically suck when we know something is good for us and we should do it (like going to the gym). But somehow students manage to graduate!

Cathy N. Davidson adds that when students are surveyed and asked if they have been exposed to multiple perspectives they say YES! But that's not the message being circulated and we need to share that message. @cathyndavidson.bsky.social @futuresed.bsky.social

Shelly Lowe says if you think of the mission of higher ed institutions a lot of them are trying to do the same things. We have similar missions. When funding is tied to politics you have to go back to your founding mission before politics came into play and stick to it. Together. We all do.
