I want to know how we #organize, when we're all so down & out in a fractured info ecosystem

that's why I joined #bluesky. I believe in collective brilliance & collective power. Now more than ever.

We're much more capable & aligned than disorienting #algorithms would have us think.

any tips?

Companies are not incentivized to detect or remove AI content. 1) it's hard, especially w/o duplicates or watermarks & 2) it goes against a main bottom line metric: #dailyactiveusers. AI populated & operated accounts are very active.

+ companies are pushing #genAI tools on users. more content!!

Today, disrupters & manipulators of narratives don't need troll farms, they can just use #AI to create thousands of unique, persuasive content & operate accounts.
I've seen #AIpropaganda tools that can produce video scripts, comments, posts, articles that evoke specific emotions & actions. So easy.

I'll never forget the #womensmarch in 2017, one of the largest protest in US history. The leaders were mercilessly attacked by Russian troll farms for at least 18 months, thousands of misleading, harassing and fomenting messages that damaged lives & the movement

As American feminists came together in 2017 to protest Donald Trump, Russia’s disinformation machine set about deepening the divides among them.
