Good to know, bc I’m in pjs and don’t want to go out in the cold

I worked through the discomfort and ended up able to nurse my baby in public but I was sooo stressed out at first, even using a cover! I felt like I was doing something embarrassing, and then I felt bad for feeling that way. And I was always a little worried someone would be rude to me about it.

Interesting. I can’t tolerate that temp when I’m working at a computer bc my fingers get too cold, and sweaters don’t help bc I have circulatory issues. Before I worked from home
I was always miserably cold at my office.

Well if it was colder than 68 the staff would probably be freezing, that’s really cold for an indoor temp imo. I’ve definitely been in over-heated spaces but I would not call 68 warm.

This issue really came home to me when I started breastfeeding my child. We’re legally allowed to breastfeed in public, but lots of women feel uncomfortable doing it. If it was more normalized for women to be topless, public nursing would feel less weird and stigmatized imo.

Ladies, you do not need to get pregnant or become a tradwife. You need to unionize your workplace.

Did you see that Dr. Julie Mills, a USDA scientist, just won an award for research showing that you can make a healthy diet out of ultra processed foods? tspppa.gwu.edu/arthur-s-fle... I saw this and instantly thought of the maintenance phase ep on this

But this means the suffering of the shutdown was all for nothing. DC communities have been devastated by this. And they don’t get a single thing out of it!

I loved Klutz craft kits too, but there was something special about getting “real” art supplies

At that age I made a lot of jewelry, so beads and other supplies and tools were always in demand. Quality watercolor paper is a good one if she likes to paint. I loved getting nice art supplies. Quality colored pencils make a big difference too over kids’ ones.
