As much as I hate the direction local politics are taking I adore the connections to other humans I’ve built over 60 years. Living in a college town is a lot like living in a train depot. Folks come and go but often return for visits. I am content with my life as the constant in many of theirs.

I loved that strip when I was younger. I was about the same age as his twin daughters and loved it when the one cut her hair and started sword training. I need to track down the volumes and see if I remember it at all accurately.

I remember visiting Butchart Gardens as a 6 year old. It was a peaceful trip those 54 years ago. I’m sure some of the trees are taller and thicker now, much like me.

The second shingrix dose is the only vaccine or booster in my memory that took me down for a day. Better than shingles though. Having watched family members suffer for months and folks lose eyesight from shingles I can feel bad for one day and have a sore arm for 6.

Please use condoms and also know that you are loved and worthy of that love. I wouldn’t put it past the current administration to cut funding for PREP. Please be safe, I’m too old for another round of senseless deaths.
