Last night, I had the chance to meet the amazing Iris De Anda, whose poem “To be a Pocha or not to be” is the subject of the third chapter of my book. Tomorrow, we’re going to be on a panel about poetry and protest for the El Mundo Zurdo conference. What a gift!

Looking forward to hearing and sharing stories about walls tomorrow night at 6pm in Dicke Hall. This event was organized by a group of Trinity students as part of the Nurturing Hope program in partnership with the Rotary Club of San Antonio and the Corrymeela Community in Northern Ireland. Join us!
