Feeling bemused because I won't be forgiving @tkingfisher.com for mirror-geldings yet I'll be reading the next book regardless when it comes. #booksky #longcovid #yayicanread

Yes, peeps, it is me again because $2.99 is a STEAL for the ebook (w/ bk 2 next month, no less!)

Writing The Witch Roads in 2022 reignited my love of writing after a rough period when I thought I should just quit. All else aside, this book is about finding joy in the small graces of the world
THE WITCH ROADS ebook is currently on sale (US) for $2.99, so if you're curious & want to read a grimsweet tale of a humble deputy courier & her annoyed nephew, a possessed prince, & a ravenous fungal ghost plague, now's the time.
Bk 2 of the duology arrives Nov 4!

Pretty devastated that #worldfantasy2025 is back in my home town but I'm too sick to go this time. Funny moments of grief #longcovid hits you with. It was so exciting to see so many fab authors and enjoy hearing them talk.

@giantsquidstudios.com Do you have any merch? I'm considering the game as a Christmas gift but thought a little merch to open on the day would be lovely.

@kateelliottsff.bsky.social I just finished the Witch Roads, I'm so moved by the way she cherishes things, something #longcovid has forced me to develop and I'm El seeing more steps on that path. I'm so glad you didn't stop writing, thank you. #fantasy #feelingseen

I think it's time screen writers stopped saying things like sexual assault, any assault was something that happened to someone, "someone did something terrible to you" rather than something terrible happened to you. #sa #tv #screenwriters

This is the flu vaccine eligibility for the UK.
Where is the equity to accessible free healthcare for COVID?

We know the same risk groups are vulnerable to both. Where is routine vaccination for children, like other diseases?

@kateelliottsff.bsky.social One of the amazing things given back to me by medication is being able to read again and have that be a restful activity rather than exertion. I'm loving @kateelliottsff.bsky.social Jaran series, a treat to find a whole series in my reading gap.

Many of the most privileged among us are still taking Covid precautions

When we were told to get back to work (and drop precautions)…the World Economic Forum ensured they had state of the art Covid mitigations

When we were told it was droplet & not airborne? The WHO quietly upgraded ventilation:

I couldn't get to sleep thinking that if I lived in Canada where they started with the current legislation #uk started on, but moved to include more general disability, that I might have used it and be dead now without having had time to find a way to live. #longcovid #assistedsuicide

In a perfect world I believe in the right to choose to die but this is very far from a perfect world. As someone who was disabled by an infection "only killing those with underlying conditions" I'm now disposable in the face of the next one. I could wake up with a DNR I didn't 1/4
