I had anxiety for 50 years.

Now I don’t.

(But it remains that if you DM me to sell me your shit, it’s Block Town for you).
Millennials and Gen Z: what did your school do on Harmony Day when you were younger? It wasn’t a thing for any Gen Xers. Do you have fond memories of it, or was it a drag?

There’s a show on SBS called The American Revolution. It’s a much more balanced look at the people and events of the time.

America has a murderous, racist past it’s not ready to come to terms with. Not just the South, but all of it.

No wonder they’re in such a mess.

Scott Borland looks like an older version of a sweet kid my sons were friends with in high school. So I always want to give him a big hug and ask him if he’s eating well and looking after himself.

I’m not sure if I should fear her, revere her, pity her, or a little of each

The one thing I hate about cricket is when they make ADHD, discalculia brains like mine do maths to find out how many runs the other side got.

I can never understand why Queenslanders aren’t desperately sad to not have Daylight Saving. Wouldn’t you rather have those extra hours of daylight in the evening? The weather there is so beautiful, I’d want to bask in it for as long as possible.

Our air fryer is best appliance I’ve ever owned and was given to us by my FIL. I’m pretty sure he got it from some guy in an alley behind a pub, but damn I love it.

Why is it that men will set their entire world on fire and watch it burn to ashes just to avoid going to therapy?

A dark cloud that has been hanging over our heads for 5 years is about to be lifted.

The outcome isn’t fair, but it’s acceptable enough. We have had to make major concessions, but we can now bring this painful, drawn-out saga to a close.

I’d forgotten what it was like to feel this much relief!

Does anyone remember the Toronto Blessing? It was a Pentecostal movement in the early 90s - on every continent. I was there, and even then I thought I’d been abducted by aliens.

Anyway, if you’re curious about it, drop a question below and I’ll answer if I can. #Pentecostal #TorontoBlessing

Imagine a little wide-eyed kid sitting on his grandpa’s lap asking, “what did you do when Trump was taking people, Grandad? How many people did you hide?”

I’m finally understanding what it means to love yourself. It turns out it’s way more chilled than I thought it would be! #SelfImage #SelfEsteem #Anxiety #Depression #Recovery

When he was 14, my son-from-another-mom received this advice from Mark Wahlberg himself: “It doesn’t have to be religion, but find something that you can believe in.”

Good advice for all of us, I think.

It blows my mind that one of the reasons geologists were so surprised by Mount St Helens was because plate tectonics had only been proven 13 years earlier. I’ve been served French fries that were older than that.

In my son’s first full-time job, he did manual work with a top-notch crew. They were paid really well.

They were really good *because* they were paid well.

The company gave them a reason to care. The loyalty of those workers prevented almost all mistakes and delays.

Why don’t bosses know this?

Why were we so entranced by beautiful metrosexual men in the 80s? Is it because we craved kindness, empathy and vulnerability - traits more often associated with femininity- in our relationships with men and boys?

The poorest county in the USA has a median household income of less than $18,000 a year.

There’s no freedom for those people.

If Donald Trump wasn’t born into money, he’d be a midwestern amateur wrestler with an implausible back story and no natural teeth, clawing his way through the indy circuit.

It won’t be very long at all now before the US collapses into widespread persecution and violence. I thought the 2028 election would be the trigger, but it feels much closer than that now.
