Having a day of finishing things. I completed this Canevas Folies pattern in May, but only now getting around to doing something with it. It’s too easy to just leave things in the done pile, & move on to the next project without giving them a decorative or functional purpose…

Just framed this pretty Roseworks pattern ready to be sent off as a gift.

It leans just a little!

Lovely day trip to Caerphilly castle today. So easy to neglect things close to home, but this was definitely worth a re-visit after 15+years. I know it’s at least that long as no photos on my phone!

Great view of a heron on our local canal today.

Just finished this lovely little Melbury Hill kit. I went quite rouge though, and decided to use my stash of beautiful hand dyed silk & wool threads for the foliage & moth.

Another project finished, though my stash never goes down 😊
This one was fun to make and took exactly three weeks, while working full time.

I’m please with the way this lovely little Jenny Blair pattern has worked out. I used to be scared of PDF patterns, but this one was fairly easy to trace. There is something very satisfying about creating a physical object this way.

Very happy with the way my latest addition to my embroidery wall worked out. This vintage kit was a random EBay find.

Thank you ☺️
They were a bit like a good book - I wanted to finish, but sad there are no more.
Now made a start on my vintage EBay find.
Not using the ancient wool that came with it though!

I really enjoyed making these little creatures designed by the Crewel Work Company. My next challenge is to try turn them into a wall hanging!

Day trip to Tintern Abbey - cold, and blue and beautiful!

I finished this lovely little Sarah Smith design in the Summer, but only now got around to turning it into a box lid. That part went fine, but I wish I’d just painted the rest of the box instead of trying to cover it as that is definitely not my skill set!!!

Got this vintage linen a while ago. Any offers on what the plant is? I’m thinking maybe broom?

Week one embroidery progress - bought just the printed linen and using (primarily) this Japanese crewel wool from my stash.

Cute festive post box!

Local fabric shop makes a good job of turning my crewel work into cushions for me. Home office sofa getting quite full now! Picked up my hare yesterday 😊

Pretty sunset - I get to see the sky now the acer leaves have fallen.
