I haven't posted in quite awhile. I was busy and then trying to avoid news during the government shutdown. I'm a fed, so it was frustrating. Alex enjoyed having me home all the time, and he is not excited about me being back at work.

Alex actually using a tiny quilt I made for him. He ignored it for a few weeks but found it overnight. He also knocked a bunch of stuff down off the other chair during the night, but you can't win them all.

It's been insane lately, to put it mildly, and all I have the energy for is watching cat videos and crocheting increasingly tiny octopuses. Alex thinks I need to pay more attention to him. He's probably right.

Alex got mad at me because I wouldn't let him sit on my lap while I was knitting. So he sat on the arm of the couch and just stared at me. When I started petting him, he jumped into my lap again. So I let him stay there.

In an effort to avoid the news, I'm spending this wekend baking. Second attempt ever at making pizelles. Better than last time but still all kinds of wonky.
