This job listing is a recession indicator. This is a bonkers responsibility list to end the description with it being an unpaid internship. It says internship at the top (screenshot cut off) but not UNPAID. And that application question? I can't. Be so fr rn.

Forced the bay mare to dress up. She was a great sport. Astronaut and The Night Sky (too windy for the cardboard moon cutout!) And obligatory one eyed horse with an eye patch picture.

One day I'm going to renovate this bathroom and Marble Dick will be gone and I'll miss it. I wonder if the previous owners selected this slab specifically for this specimen.

I have spots open in the small writing group I run! There are weekly write-ins on zoom, a monthly craft chat, and opportunity for one on one calls with me and edits on your page. I think it's pretty amazing but you don't have to take my word for it. Here's what current members say.

A great Yom Kippur to me (though I don't regularly recommend riding while fasting!). Back on the horse for the first time in 5 weeks. She's not 100% yet but we are getting there.

If you're a high school teacher (or librarian!) in the continental US and you want a copy of FOR THE REST OF US, a YA holiday anthology edited by @missdahlelama.dahliaadler.com, email me through my website (Katherine Locke Books dot com)! I have ~12 copies that I'd love to get into classrooms.

I am not built for this weather. I come from cold weather people. I am made for potatoes and rain.

A great example of why you can't trust AI search results.

Sen John Heinz DID die in an aviation accident. But in 1991. In PA.

I searched the same keywords again and got the second screenshot.

He does have a son, H. John Heinz IV, who also did not die in Pan Am 103.

AI makes shit up!!!!

In my fb memories, a picture of a passage from a research book (THE BRIDGE AT ANDAU) about how Russia handled Hungary (and other communist countries). It's an interesting comparison to our current plight (though I think Russia had/has a hand, my blame is entirely on Christian nationalists.)

ATHLETE IS AGENDER: True Stories of LGBTQ+ People in Sports is out today! This is a nonfiction anthology for readers 10+, and it's maybe the most important book I've sent into the world. I really mean that.
