I like Halloween decor and I like vaccinations. But combining the Halloween skeleton with your vaccine advertising might not be the best service to public health in a country ruled by "vaccine skeptics".

California #heirloom #tomato season is the best of all seasons. It’s #snacktime, baby!

Quick weeknight dinner of fried rice, grilled shishito peppers and salmon glazed with gochujang, mirin and smoked soy sauce. I cannot praise my fabulous husband enough for cooking delicious things every night. 🫶🏼

For dinner we tested new ideas. Green asparagus soup with black garlic lemon yogurt. Branzino with yuzu kosho rub, charred scallion pilaf and green beans with homemade kimchi. Great summer evening happiness in the backyard. 10/10

The best California heirloom tomatoes are back, baby!! And straight from the farm onto my sandwich - courtesy of the fabulous husband who always aspires to feed me healthy and delicious things.

I definitely needed a moment of #delight today and found it thanks to this #dog friendly hotel in the Monterey Bay that riffs on the ubiquitous "little library" concept by providing a stick #library for dogs. ♥️

Crazy idea but have you ever tried not acting like a Nazi if you don’t like people calling you a Nazi, man?! I guess you just can’t help yourself …

I was trying to come up with a snarky comment but even snark has run out of steam …

I used to think greed was the biggest obstacle to tackling #climatechange. But I’m afraid losing an ever growing part of the voting population to conspiracy theories might be even harder to tackle.

I had to go away and be in nature for the past two days. Everything was just too much.
Now my soul is content but my legs are screaming from all the steep hiking trails.

It’s hard to grasp how something like this budget bill could pass. This is what happens when a media ecosystem falls apart and a large part of the voting population doesn’t have basic facts.

Whether we descend into authoritarianism or not, there will be fresh bread thanks to my fabulous husband. #sourdough

At this point I suspect #DeutscheBahn is just trolling me considering this is the very first search result that came up.

Welcome to my annual ritual of explaining to my American friends that Labor Day on May 1st is a day of protest for labour rights in most European countries. And not a family BBQ. Think burning barricades instead of burnt meat. 😉

Traveling abroad without my husband. But he made sure I’m not traveling without my favourite sandwich. Just in case. #FoodIsLove ♥️
(And if you’re wondering about the reddish stain: it’s Sriracha. Homemade sourdough bread with crunchy peanut butter, Sriracha and Gouda.)

We celebrated the end of Passover with homemade pizza. And now it’s finally time for my favourite interfaith meme again! Yay!
Happy Easter, friends!

This is beyond vile. But sure, tell me more about how your Christian values shape how you govern.

I feel like there’s a specific term for this … 🤔

The charoset, a symbol of the mortar used in ancient Egypt, was definitely the best version the husband has ever created. Thin strips of apple and dried apricot with toasted pumpkin seed, yuzu juice, kosho and a healthy helping of white wine. #Passover

The zeroah, the #Passover lamb, was braised in Gochujang garlic pepper and cooked for hours. Served with a bright green ginger, scallion, garlic, cilantro sauce, alongside sautéed peppers and onions, and rice.
