DC consultants came up with a new congressional map that makes no sense for our state.

•Indianapolis would go from 2 districts to 4
•Rural counties would have to share their rep with Indy
•Indy would get fewer resources and services — and so would rural areas.

Luckily we don't need to sacrifice compassion for fellow humans in order to create a kinder world for animals. The vast majority of global soy production, for example, goes to fatten animals instead of feeding humans—an incredibly inefficient system. Plant ag is both more efficient and more humane.

I stand in solidarity with the Starbucks workers on strike.

When a corporation can pay $96 million to its CEO for just four months of work, it can afford to pay its workers a living wage and decent benefits.

irrationally angry at the number of stores that straight up refuse to sell OR are constantly out of stock of plus sizes. especially a problem with stores like Marshall’s and TJ Maxx, which heavily discount merchandise. gained a few lbs and BAM now I have to go pay full price elsewhere

Shortly after the inauguration, I cut off a Trump voting friend for dangerous rhetoric towards the LGBTQ+ community, libraries, and abortions to name a few.

9 months in and Trump is saying it is war against liberal cities and Cruz is saying we should be nicer to pedophiles.

my idea of a great sunday night? thanks for asking. attending a screening of a documentary (abt Robert Reich) at a local movie theater, coming home to work on a puzzle (Bluey playing in the background, ofc), and ending the night with Tron Legacy and spicy ramen. I love it here in my brain

After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.
Let’s be clear about what happened to Jimmy Kimmel
Trump’s most brazen attack on free speech yet.

shopping for something to wear to a special event usually means putting 4 things in my cart online, getting stressed thinking they might not fit correctly, deciding i’d rather try something on, getting stressed by the idea that sizes might be limited in store, deleting my cart and going to bed
