There was an affordable housing component but if I remember correctly, it was for condos, with no expectation of remaining affordable after the initial purchase. So a low-income person could potentially purchase a home and then rent it out as an Airbnb. It's not exactly solving our housing crisis

I find a lot of designers get really weird about making the tv the focal point in the room, but I will choose function over aesthetic every time, and for me, having a cozy place to watch tv with enough room for friends is the top priority (which is why we don't have a dinner table)

I kind of like white walls. It makes the room so bright! But I know what you mean about that specific look
