That said, we did a Hallowe'en show in Kendal today and it's genuinely reassuring that @katemccabe.bsky.social's vampire shows up in the mirror photos. (Also argh, loophole, she's 🧛♀️definitely🧛♀️ been invited into the building if we've booked her for a set.)

An unrealistic thing about film and TV is that the music levels in pubs/clubs/venues are often such that people can be enjoying a musical ambience but it's still quiet enough that you can still converse at a normal level.

Sometimes a recipe has ***** but then you look at user comments and they're like: This was GREAT. I added oregano, some prawns, used twice as much salt, and fried it instead of baking it. The whole family loved it.
