The point, fairly obviously, isn't that they're not talking to me. It's that they're not talking to anyone. And that is a problem given that conversations between parents (not to mention dating partners) build connection and community

Thank you for doing the proverbial lord's work in this thread. Goodness, I hope this person never has kids who'd like a playdate with another kid in their class, or has to send a birthday invitation, or wants to ask about the lice situation lol
