Curiously, my employer does not endorse my opinions, even though they’re all extremely good ones.
And maybe these seem "obscure" if you're the New York Times, but as a digital librarian, my patrons come from around the globe. Library technology development will be almost completely gutted by the loss of the IMLS and other funding agencies.

But the #IMLS also funds library technology development for:
- digital exhibits
- digitization of historic materials
- transcription of historic manuscripts
- digital preservation systems
- repositories
- ebooks
- digital archives

I manage institutional digital collections that usually house these newspapers; years ago I was contacted by an alum who wanted us to remove a paper from our systems because our library’s SEO kept surfacing their (problematic) college editorials over their current work.

We denied that one.
