With help and a lot of input from my @ncstate-ncics.bsky.social colleagues, I tried to provide a glimpse of what it was like for employees of a climate research institute to live through Hurricane #Helene: one of the worst climate-related disasters in modern US history.
Hurricane #Helene brought destruction and disruption to Western North Carolina and our home in Asheville. It put a temporary halt to our work. But we are back, with new perspectives and a more personal understanding of the risks of climate change. Read more at:
