Proud to co-sponsor @yasminqureshimp.bsky.social's Bill which would give councils stronger powers to control excessive firework noise.

This is a real issue for many in Oldham West, Chadderton & Royton; they deserve action which cracks down on fireworks to keep them safe & respectful for everyone.

‘Treading lightly’: was it really what we wanted?
Opinion polls show that Keir Starmer is the least popular Prime Minister in living memory. But is he not doing what we said we wanted?

None of us should put pressure on Zelenskyy when it comes to territorial concessions. We should all put pressure on Russia to stop its aggression. Appeasement never was a road to a just and lasting peace.

Unlike past “levelling up” schemes, Pride in Place gives real power to people on the ground — not just councils or ministers.

Funding decisions to be made locally, by local boards.

Stephen McNair reports
Restoring pride to Britain’s most deprived neighbourhoods
'Pride in Place' is an ambitious government plan to hand power and funding to local people to rebuild community pride. How will it work?

Dear friends, please read this. 😔

We owe it to our one and only living planet, not to turn away. To be uninformed is to be powerless indeed. We have to face reality, no matter how painful, to have ANY hope at all of driving the positive change we need.

Planet’s first catastrophic climate tipping point reached, report says, with coral reefs facing ‘widespread dieback’
Unless global heating is reduced to 1.2C ‘as fast as possible’, warm water coral reefs will not remain ‘at any meaningful scale’, a report by 160 scientists from 23 countries warns

As Parliament is set to return tomorrow, here is a video the Labour government have put out to show us some of the things they have achieved in the first year.

And it's a LOOOOOOONG list.

This ruling is a joke.

PPE Medpro will go bankrupt and the Government won't get a penny.

Michelle Mone should have to pay the £122m personally.

Some good news.

London is meeting legal limits for toxic NO2 pollution for the first time – almost 200 years earlier than predicted – following the Mayor’s "world leading air pollution policies," City Hall announces.

The Ultra Low Emissions Zone - and similar policies - really do work.

Nathan Gill is no fringe politician.

He was the leader of the Reform Party and before that UKIP in Wales.

A Brexit Party MEP.

A friend and ally of Nigel Farage, who in 2016 called him:

"terrific," and "as honest as the day is long."

This is a MASSIVE story

Voters need to be clear eyed about where to put their X.
Under FPTP, a vote is often used to prevent what the voter is against. It is not always a positive choice.
The choice in 2029 in my constituency will be between Labour and Reform. I know where I'll put my X.
