Not sure if I can sleep after reading this! I'm a kind of elated that very rarely happens. Like that feeling when you meet the smartest most interesting guy and you speak the same language!

This made my evening. Most people who understand what is happening in Palestine care very deeply, but how do you reach the people struggling to make rent and buy food? Their immediate struggle is center for them, and there is no blaming those victimised by Capitalism. I certainly cannot.
On the other hand, as a resident of Toronto, I was proud to see dozens of protestors at the corner of Main & Danforth (a few days ago) protesting against Israel's illegal war and occupation.

Very true. Thing is, there are a lot of Palestinians who are of the mind that the world is jumping on the bandwagon so when Gaza is no more they can point to it and say that they did something when the ones actually doing something are the regular people risking their lives on the Flotilla boats.
The list of countries that HAVEN'T yet recognized the state of Palestine is shrinking by the day.
Some, including China, recognized Palestine way back in 1988. Others, like Canada, have only done so this year.

I can only wonder what Francesca Albanese must be thinking after her arduous battle to get the Genocide of Occupied Palestine recognized. She never should have had to go through such treatment, but I believe she serves humanity. This is very often the road we travel.

I can only wonder what Francesca Albanese must be thinking after her arduous battle to get the Genocide of Occupied Palestine recognized. She never should have had to go through such treatment, but I believe she serves humanity. This is very often the road we travel.
"There's nothing wrong with our brains. This is who we are." The nicest, kindest thing this friend I never really knew ever did for me was provide me with a framework for thinking about ADHD that helped me to eventually embrace my own when it recently emerged. I'm rather proud of my ADHD.

It can feel really scary to imagine that rights and protections for queer and trans lives are in danger but today I am wearing a hoodie whose thumb holes are older than the federal recognition of same sex marriage in the united states. We have always been here and we always will.

This was my thinking precisely. My partner did it once and then bought into the arguments of those opposed. I'd much rather a chance on extending my life than win an argument.
I’d take an mRNA vaccine to boost my immunity against a virus over horse dewormer, bleach, bright light or chloroquine any day of the week.
