Reading the Heroes of Olympus books for the first time and im on book 2. I have the physical book, was going to get the audiobook to listen to on my commute. i put a hold with my library, but in every audiobook shop its not availble in the us, but the rest of the series is. whats going on with that?

Discomfort is not harm, and if you're made uncomfortable by the work of a total stranger who does not know you exist, you can just process on your own and move on. You do not need to make it anyone's "fault" and no one needs to be "held accountable" for it.

If you dislike something or it makes you uncomfortable, that’s okay! But you don’t need to let the creator know. You don’t need to let anyone know, honestly. You can just ignore it and move on with your life. Fandom is about enjoying the things you like, not bashing the things you hate.

If someone crits my work, I don't know what their advice is worth. I don't know what their goals are or whether those mesh with mine. Maybe (probably) they're making suggestions based on what they think I should have tried to do rather than what I tried to do.

Literally none of you are capable of doing that. None of the people claiming you should be able to publicly bash random hobbyists for not being pro-quality are atually capable of offering valid critique or useful feedback. Why would I take writing advice from ignorant rude strangers?

Pornhub is absolutely in the right here. They are blocking states who require this because they don't want to be responsible for your PI data! They do not NEED that info to provide their service, so collecting and maintaining it is inherently privacy violating!

pornhub is blocked in 17 states because 17 state governments are demanding that you upload your face and identifying information to a privately held company that may or may not sell that data to the highest bidder and pornhub believes that is a violation of your rights.

The biggest waste of money I’ve seen in video game development, across many years and studios (not my current one - one of the reasons I wanted to work there), wasn’t on graphics. It was abruptly being told to throw out months or years of work bc one executive decided they didn’t like something.
