I love paying human artists and I hate gen AI 🩵

I'm not here to fight about whether or not AI is ethical (I've made my decision and I doubt I'm gonna change yours.) I'm just here to talk about what I and many other artists have been dealing with as we adjust to a new media landscape.

This is so sick. A truth and reconciliation commission won't be enough, once this regime is gone.
“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...

THREAD: Judge Ellis is the first federal judge to review extensive body cam video of DHS's actions in Chicago. She finds that DHS *repeatedly* misled the public and made claims that were disproven by agents' own videos.

I'll go through some of the most egregious ones here.

The replies to this tell me that telly mostly focuses on stories about men. Anyway, Call The Midwife is clearly the GOAT: it's brilliant feminist drama, rooted in authenticity in its storytelling, and led by and centred on women and our stories.
Take away all the GOAT candidates: The Wire, Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and Lost.

What’s the best show outside of that group?

This is just really sad. No other guest showed how much the podcast has changed since the former host finally had to give the show back to Thomas. I hope @leftistlawyer.com will clarify this. :(
Sheryl is one of the best guests we have ever had on and we loved talking to her, but anyone who knows us knows that “former host” was the most necessary followup post in the history of Bluesky

Please don't do us like this Sheryl 💔
