I’ve felt this way about him for years. His “genius” is all just bravado and arrogance.

Just wow. Looks like Zuck really is head-deep inside Trump’s a** now. He really is just another spineless billionaire. Shouldn’t have expected more of him. And won’t ever again.

It’s so sad to see what’s happening with all these skate shoe brands just selling out and pushing out all the skaters who helped grow and keep them relevant.

I get they might have been losing money, but damn. People buy shoes to support the rider, or at least they used to…

Hard relate to this. This is how we role at DDG, and it takes very specific types of people to manage it, hence hiring is tough!

A couple people are like “she’s actually barely lost any net worth” and that’s kind of the point: you can do an incredible amount of stuff and give away billions of dollars and not even notice it and 95% of rich people won’t even do that because they’re nihilist assholes
The contrast really is striking isn’t it

It began with Jim Henson, child psychologists, PBS, and a Ford Foundation grant to use Jane Jacobs’ The Death and Life of Great American Cities to teach kids and model a diverse and kind community.
It ends by getting canceled by Warner Bros and Zaslav.

A history of American decline in one story.
HBO has declined to renew “Sesame Street” for new episodes. The series that’s been teaching generations of little kids since 1969 now has no studio.

Please consider donating to Sesame Workshop to ensure the residents of 123 Sesame Street are still around to teach kids of all needs and backgrounds.

I remember getting this and absolutely loving it. Best Christmas present ever back when it first dropped.

Such a simple and minimal design, but it encouraged me to listen to songs without knowing what was coming next, so I’d typically avoid skipping them and just bask in the randomness.

Arc is really good. I would pay, idk, something for a yearly sub. I'm sure many more would too. And if they didn't have to hire a team to make feature film quality videos about pivots then maybe that would be enough to sustain one browser product?

the “user” in “user-centered design” is increasingly a fictional creature, like santa claus

we should see “user” as first and foremost a corporate phantasm: a powerful hallucination conjured of fractal office politics, endless slide decks, and cargo cult design dogmas
