71 years ago yesterday, on January 1, 1954, my parents attended the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, where the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (my dad’s alma mater) beat the West Virginia Mountaineers 42-19.
Apparently there was some celebration. I was born 9 months later. 😉
