It just hit me that exactly 4 years ago today, my aunt called to tell my dad she was pretty sure my grandpa was gone.
Before my dad even answered the phone, I knew. I’ll never forget going to his apartment with my dad and seeing him in his chair. He could’ve just been napping.

Whether this was random street crime or targeted political violence, I think it was bad for the president to unnecessarily put the National Guard in harm’s way like this. They simply don’t need to be there.

I'll be spending thanksgiving with (among other family) my mom and her two closest friends, all of them (now mostly retired) nurses.
I'm looking forward to them talking about how nursing is their cute little hobby and not a professional career. 🙃
