New paper! We use multichannel sequence analysis to model residential and neighbourhood trajectories for children born in Swedish urban areas. Children born in the most deprived neighbourhoods move more frequently and experience more neighbourhood change.

Happy new year with a new paper in TESG where Samaneh Khaef and I find strong spatial sorting in migrant initial residential patterns by education. Higher educated migrants more often live in big cities. Constraints such as dispersal policies are important mechanisms. doi.org/10.1111/tesg...

New paper! We show that new immigration destinations (NIDs) have emerged in rural areas and small towns in Sweden. The majority of migrants to rural areas stay – leavers are more often young and higher educated. NIDs are an important contributor to rural population structures doi.org/10.1111/soru...
