Marching time again these days. Remembering when...women's March 2017. Mary showed up to protest. 'Femembiance' (started in 2004) is a performance where the Virgin Mary shows up in real time ( inspired by sightings in window stains, inside wood grain...)

This was on my list for a loooong time. Found myself home alone with the oven all to myself (during the day!) plenty of bacon in the fridge and a fresh pack of shrinky dinks. Bacon is nature's Shrinkydink!

'A Trailer is a Castle on its Side' 16" x 20"
Graphite, water color pencil. Castle drawn on site. Trailer was nearby. Having them in close proximity made me realize how traveling through each one is similar.

Still rings true especially today. A look back. At the capitol (Montpelier) in 2005. Stemmed from the thought that, hey...hydrants are along the side walk or road like they're about to cross the street. First performance was a fire hydrant crossing. Then I became a voice of the voiceless.

'Dress Me', my live paper doll performance. Learning how to screen print opened a HUGE door. 50 items of doll clothes, both traditionally male and female attire.
